A Pocket Guide to the Bible
Kevin O'Donnell
Lion 2004

This pocket guide provides a summary of each part of the Bible, providing fascinating information on the history of each book, any archaeological insights and Christian and Jewish interpretations of the text.

The chapters include information on the key verses of the books, a "quick read" section which provides a phrase description of the main parts of the book, and a section on what the book says or implies about Jesus. There are also chapters on the Apocrypha, an introduction to Old Testament law, miracles and the Bible and a further reading section.

Kevin O'Donnell's writing style is exciting and, more importantly, very easy to read. Although, the print is small, so you can put the book in your pocket, the book is well laid out, making it easy to follow.

A Pocket Guide to the Bible would make a wonderful gift for Christians interested in how the Bible came to be.
