Starring Susie Porter and newcomer Victoria Thaine, The Caterpillar Wish is a story about trust and relationships beautifully shot in the Limestone Coast, South Australia.

When Emily is given her family Bible by the local second hand book store owner, she gets curious about her roots. Her mother, Susan (who works in a topless bar), has always insisted that her parents disowned them both when she fell pregnant at 15.

While Susan professes that her love for Emily means that she needs nobody else - including parents or long-term boyfriends - Emily has developed an obsession with taking pictures of male tourists that float in and out of town, hoping one of them might be her "Tom Cat" father.

When Emily meets her grandparents, they turn her world upside down by implying that her father may be a local.

About half way through you start to see where this is going, but don't be so sure you'll know where it'll end up.
