24Life on the road with artist Jeremy Camp is eventful and entertaining. The vertically minded singer/songwriter plus his band and crew are oodles of energy on tour - from the moment they rise out of the bus' bunks to the last note played onstage. Such a series of events is tracked accurately on In 24, a very candid, behind-the-scenes look at Camp's typical day on the job.
Depending on which menu a viewer chooses, they can start the experience in either a documentary, performance or informational interview segment, though the road report is probably the best way to begin. That segment begins by interviewing Jeremy's hard-working road manager, who's not only responsible for getting the crazy cast to each venue on time but must shuffle Camp through his daily appointments with speediness. Be sure to also check out the croquet segment when Jeremy breaks a club over his head and a dining dilemma where he's attacked by his guitar player - two more examples of fun camaraderie and colourful commotion.
The concert footage is also incredibly attractive, taking viewers MTV-style onto the stage for cuts off Stay and Carried Me-The Worship Project, which are unfurled with both slashing potency ("Take My Life") and unconditional praise ("I Still Believe").
Throughout the concert, Camp appears confident in his presentation and close knit with the crowd, creating a comfortable environment that rocks free of egocentric behaviour.
Add in some introspective interviews, plus a pair of music videos, and In 24 is a textbook example of a complete, cohesive and charming visual diary of a travelling musician's life - it also helps that his music is excellent.
