(G) Animated
This award winning short film only runs for ten minutes.
The animation is brilliant and the story simple but the beauty lies in the depiction of how we treat those who are different from the norms of our own society.
One can read into it bystander apathy, human disregard, bureaucratic incompetence and resulting social isolation.
As a friend of ours once said, “Therefore I speak to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.”
To me, The Lost Thing is a modern parable.
